Live weather on your stream for any place you pick: an icon, the temperature and the weather in words, with wind, humidity and a forecast for the coming hours or days. It updates on its own, works with Twitch, Kick or any other platform, and needs no channel, account or API key.

Chat Commands

With a channel in the URL, you and your mods type this in Twitch or Kick chat. Viewers typing it change nothing.

!h weather
Hides the weather, or shows it again
!hud weather
The same, in the IRL HUD Overlay's long form

Streaming Software Setup (OBS, Streamlabs, XSplit, etc.)

  1. Add a Browser Source in your streaming software (OBS Studio, Streamlabs Desktop, XSplit, vMix, Lightstream, PRISM Live Studio, etc.).
  2. Paste your copied Weather URL.
  3. Set width to 1920 and height to 1080, the size of your scene. The weather sits in the corner you picked.
  4. Go live. The weather updates on its own, about every half hour.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the weather come from?

From MET Norway, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, whose forecasts cover the whole world. Its data is free to use, on monetized streams too, as long as it's credited, so the overlay names MET Norway in small print. There's no account or API key to set up.

How often does it update?

OBS asks for a new forecast when MET Norway says one is due, about every half hour, and the overlay moves on to the next hour of it on its own. The forecast is saved in OBS, so after a reload or a scene switch the weather shows at once.

Does it show where I am?

Only the name you give it. The weather is for the place you pick and doesn't follow you, and the overlay never shows coordinates. On an IRL stream, pick the city you're in, and paste a new URL when you travel.

Can I use it with the IRL HUD Overlay?

Yes. Add both to the same scene. The weather starts in the top left corner, clear of the HUD's cash in the top right and its mini-map in the bottom left.

Can it show Fahrenheit?

Yes. Pick °F, mph under Units. The forecast row can show 12-hour times too, and the overlay can name the weather in any of the site's seven languages.
